How do you mix paint to be chartues?
Do you mean chartreuse? This colour is made by mixing green/red/blue to make a sludgy, greeny, reddish colour, then add some white to lighten it - %26amp; then add lots more green. It was always a horrible colour - indescribable because of its horribleness! Are you really sure you want to recreate this? If I were you, I would forget this - %26amp; concentrate on purple, maybe.

According to wikipedia, chartreuse is yellow color mixed with a small amount of green. So to make it, stick with yellow, and keep adding small amounts of blue to it, until it becomes halfway between yellow and green.
Reply:In oil paint mix Permanent Green and Cadmium Yellow or Phthalo Green and Lemon Yellow.

In watercolor its Prussian Blue and Winsor Yellow.
